Electrotek is a well-established supplier of domestic, industrial and renewable energy electrical hardware, based in Mossel Bay. We pride ourselves on providing high-quality products and excellent customer service to meet the needs of our valued clients. As we continue to expand, we are seeking a dedicated and customer-oriented individual to join our team as a Sales Associate.

As a Sales Associate, you will play a crucial role in ensuring smooth operations at the store while delivering exceptional customer service. You will be responsible for greeting customers, assisting with inquiries, and promoting our range of products. Your primary goal will be to create a positive customer experience and generate sales to contribute to the company's growth.

Responsibilities:

• Greet customers in a friendly and professional manner, providing a warm welcome to the store.
• Assist customers with their inquiries, offering product information, recommendations, and technical advice.
• Provide outstanding customer service by actively listening to customers' needs and offering appropriate solutions.
• Process sales transactions accurately and efficiently using the point-of-sale system.
• Maintain a clean and organized front desk area, ensuring products are well-presented and visually appealing.
• Collaborate with the sales team to achieve sales targets and contribute to the store's overall success.
• Stay up-to-date with product knowledge and industry trends to effectively communicate product features and benefits to customers.
• Handle customer complaints and resolve issues promptly and professionally.
• Assist with inventory management, including receiving and restocking products as needed.

Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent qualification.
• Previous experience in a customer service or sales role.
• Knowledge of electronics, batteries and solar solutions is highly advantageous.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build rapport with customers and provide exceptional service.
• Strong problem-solving abilities and a proactive attitude to overcome customer challenges.
• Basic computer skills and familiarity with point-of-sale systems.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and multitask efficiently.
• A positive attitude, enthusiasm, and a genuine passion for serving customers.
• Fluency in English; proficiency in Afrikaans is a plus.
• Must be a resident of Mossel Bay or willing to relocate.
